The Restless Ghosts quest in RuneScape Dragonwilds has players hunting down four spectral figures, but there is a catch. These ghosts only appear at night, and night cycles in Dragonwilds are surprisingly short. If you blink, you might miss your window.
The first ghost is found near the old graveyard just east of Lumbridge. Head there after dusk and look for a faint blue glow near the broken fence. The second ghost wanders the path south of the Draynor Manor gates. It moves slowly, so you can catch it if you approach from the west.
The third ghost is trickier. It appears near the fishing spot on the River Lum, but only if no other players are nearby. If you see someone else casting a line, wait for them to leave or hop worlds. The fourth and final ghost lingers behind the church in the center of town. It does not move, but it only becomes visible when you stand on the exact stone tile in front of the altar.
Because night ends so quickly, it is smart to scout each location during the day first. Mark the spots on your map. Then, when the sky darkens, run to each one in order. You have just over two minutes of full darkness. If you miss one, you will have to wait through the full day cycle again. Some players report that using a lantern or torch does not help. The ghosts respond only to the natural night.
Once you speak to all four, the quest advances. But be warned: the ghosts do not always speak in order, and they may repeat the same line if you talk to them twice. Listen carefully for the unique phrase each one says. That is how you know you have completed that part of the task.
