A cult-favorite 8-bit role-playing game originally released in 1989 is making its way to modern hardware. The title, which draws heavy inspiration from Greek mythology, is now available on PlayStation 5 and the newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 as part of the Console Archives series.
The game originally launched on the NES and MSX platforms, offering players a turn-based adventure set in a fantasy world filled with ancient gods, monsters, and puzzles. Its distinct visual style and challenging gameplay earned it a dedicated following over the decades. The new ports promise to preserve the original pixel art and sound while adding quality-of-life features such as save states, screen filters, and optional control remapping.
Console Archives, a label dedicated to re-releasing retro titles on current systems, has been steadily building a library of classic games. This particular release marks one of the first third-party titles confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2, signaling strong support for the upcoming handheld hybrid console from smaller publishers. The PS5 version is available now via digital storefronts, while the Switch 2 edition is expected to launch alongside the console later this year.
For fans of old-school RPGs, this release offers a chance to experience a piece of gaming history without digging out original hardware. The game's blend of Greek lore and 8-bit design remains a unique entry in the genre, and the new ports make it accessible to a wider audience.
